This past weekend (Labor Day 2013) Charlie, Joe and I went down to Crockett National Forest to prepare for the 2013 bow hunting season, and by that we had to find some more trees to use for our climbing tree stands and mark them and the trail to them with tacks that light up when a light is on them, if not it is real easy to get lost walking to and from tree and evening finding the tree in the dark. We also cleaned out shooting lanes, by that I mean cleaning out the dead branches and putting out trail cams.
It was really hot but we left from Mesquite at 5:30 am and was in the woods by 9:00 am doing our thing. We did a total of 5 trees and were on the road by 3:00pm or so.
