3rd week in October 17, 2026

On 10.17.25 i went down to the lease to later meet Charlie after he gets out of court. I unloaded my car, I had a brand new folding Velotric folding plus bike. Set up a table and went out to stencil some green leaves on my pop up. So I went to my blind got out and started to paint and I could not stand up without a pain shooting up and down in my right leg. I packed up by painting stuff and went back to the camp called my doctor and got an appointment for Monday morning and laid down with ice on my back and dozed. Charlie came in close to 4, we chilled and went out to hunt around 4:30, after the hunt I told Charlie I was hurting too much to stay and needed help loading up, which he did and was happy to load up and go.

Turns out after a week of pain a mri showed a herniated disk at L5/s1 pushing on sciatica nerve in right leg. Hunting season was over. Grandson Corbin shot an eight point out of the Sigman blind.

2nd weekend October 2025

Got here yesterday and went to the tripod at sigmans. It needed oiling and it is very loud. The feeder and cottonseed feeders were empty. So I left about 530, went to camp and just chilled. Charlie stopped at Buccee's and picked up 20 bags and we put corn in the feeders when he got here. We went to town and got another 25 bags and put it out then went to Jacksboro and got 20 bags of cotton seed

1st week of 1st grade

I took off  8.11.25 thru 8.17.25 in order to ride my bike to school with the boys. After I dropped them off I would go on a 5 mile ride.

October 25, 26,27

Got down last night in time for a 45 minute  sit down, wind was perfect. Did not see anything. Charlie got in around  1030.

 I hunted the pop up this morning and seen a doe but but did not have a good shot, Charlie hunted the tripod at the bow stand and didn't see anything. 

  We put chum out at the field stand and the camp stand and we got in the stands around 430. 

We need new wind ribbons.

October 19 & 20

Me, Morgan, the boys and Charlie made it to the lease. We all seen deer, I hunted sigman and seen 5 bucks but they were all too small, Charlie was at the field and he seen 4 or 5 and Morgan hunted camp with the boys and seen a big spike.

24-25 deer season

Me an charlie came down for the hunt. Beutiful Saturday afternoon sunny skies, 88 degrees, 7 mph n breeze. He is at bow stand and I am at the camp stand. It is 552 been here about an hour

12.1.23 Deer lease

Came down on Friday night,  I drove my car and Morgan, Kaitlyn and boys came down in truck. It is 38 degrees, little to no non wind with overcast skies.

Nothing was seen Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we moved the maverick blind so we could utilize it.

Saturday evening i seen 4 does at dusk. Morgan shot a doe.

Sunday morning it is crisp.
